You’ll play a key role in promoting communication accessibility across several school environments throughout the day. This full-time position offers the flexibility to work onsite or, for the ideal candidate, virtually.

In this role, you will facilitate effective communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, helping them engage fully in their academic experience. You’ll typically serve 1–2 students at a time, ensuring a personalized and attentive approach, with assignments across both elementary and high school campuses.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter, compliant with state and educational standards
• Demonstrated skill in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with interpreting protocols in school environments
• Experience supporting K–12 students in classroom and extracurricular settings
• Ability to adapt interpreting styles to meet students’ needs across a variety of subjects and age groups
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Adaptable to both onsite and virtual work arrangements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services during classroom instruction, assemblies, and other school functions
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure equitable access for students
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies
• Adjust communication approaches as needed for student and situational requirements
• Document and report on student progress as required
