Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Crate Builder to join our team. In this role, you will build custom wooden crates and containers used to safely ship and transport products. Accuracy, craftsmanship, and a strong work ethic are essential, as each crate is custom-built to customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble custom shipping crates according to specifications and drawings
- Measure, cut, and fasten materials using hand and power tools
- Build sturdy containers to protect products during transportation
- Inspect completed crates for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity
- Work closely with team members to meet production schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment and in the heat
- Able to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented attitude and dependable attendance
- Experience with carpentry, woodworking, construction, or manufacturing is a plus but not required
