We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, geometry, and mechanical systems to ensure high-quality production while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations using CAD/CAM software.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to create accurate programs.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
- Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards throughout the programming process.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of machining processes.
- Familiarity with geometry concepts related to machining and part design.
- Experience with GD&T principles is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
