LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Primary Care

Location: Geisinger Multi‑Specialty, Tunkhannock, PA. Shift: Days (United States). Weekly Hours: 40. Worker Type: Regular. Job Summary The role supports primary clinical care as an LPN, providing patient assessment, direct nursing care, and assistance to providers in a full‑time, day shift environment. The position offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus . Responsibilities Gather and document patient history, chief complaint, and vital signs. Assist with diagnosis and treatment of patients across a designated age range. Support providers in performing minor surgical and diagnostic procedures. Collect and handle laboratory specimens with associated documentation. Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with the scope of practice. Maintain aseptic environment, prepare and clean examination rooms, and ensure adequacy of supplies. Communicate effectively with providers and patients, responding to inquiries and prioritizing patient needs. Follow up on diagnostic testing to guarantee completion and accurate record entry. Qualifications Basic Life Support certification (or equivalent). Licensed Practical Nurse license. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred. Strong communication, computer literacy, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork skills. Education Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
