About the Position

The start date is as soon as possible. This role involves working in a high-risk perinatal center. The nurse will support childbearing women and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. The facility sees a significant number of complex high-risk patients each month. The nurse will be responsible for providing care throughout labor and delivery. The staff ratio is 1:1 during shifts. Weekend shifts are required. Floating to mother-baby and antepartum units may be necessary. Experience in handling high acuity patients is preferred. The use of EPIC for charting is required. Candidates should have experience with a variety of labor and delivery procedures. Candidates willing to learn about specific patient needs will be considered. Detailed knowledge of nursing protocols for labor and delivery is essential. Candidates should be skilled in emergency responses relevant to labor and delivery settings. Additional duties may include assisting with cesarean sections and managing neonatal care. Applicants should be involved in supporting breastfeeding and lactation initiatives. Continuous professional development regarding childbirth practices is encouraged.
