Excellent team culture! Job Details Job Details: We're looking for a passionate and dedicated General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position, where you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records and ensuring that our financial data is accurate and compliant. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles and will be responsible for managing our general ledger system, preparing financial statements, and conducting year-end close procedures. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc. 2. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. 3. Maintain and balance the general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries. 4. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements. 5. Complete internal audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. 6. Contribute to the development of the annual budget and implement it into the general ledger system. 7. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key business issues, changes and progress. 8. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations and ensure all company financial transactions are conducted and recorded accurately in the accounting system. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry. 3. Proven knowledge and experience of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations. 4. High proficiency in financial reporting, including year-end reporting, balance sheet management, and budget preparation. 5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. 6. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. 7. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables. 8. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. 9. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex accounting issues. 10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 12.
