Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are hiring a Printing Equipment Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to maintain and repair high-speed printing and packaging machinery in Lenexa, KS. The technician will work primarily on Sheet Fed Offset Printing Machines and related production machinery, applying mechanical and electrical expertise to minimize downtime and support manufacturing goals. Job Details LOCATION: Lenexa, KS 66219 POSITION: Right to Hire SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm PAY RATE: $25/hr BENEFITS: Healthcare, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Telehealth, Prescription Drug Discount Plan etc. Responsibilities Maintain and repair mechanical and electromechanical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Disassemble machines, replace parts, adjust components, and restore equipment to operational standards. Interpret diagrams, schematics, manuals, and engineering specifications to guide repairs. Clean and lubricate moving parts, order replacement components, and verify repair quality. Adapt tools and procedures to resolve unique mechanical or electrical issues and assist with complex problem-solving on the production floor. Work on high-speed commercial printing presses including Sheet Fed Offset Printing Machines. Maintain mechanical production machinery such as cutters, folders, inserters, bindery equipment, and other print-related machines. Diagnose and repair low voltage electrical and electronic systems including wiring, motors, sensors, relays, and control circuits. Troubleshoot and support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation controls, including input/output troubleshooting and electrical control installations. Perform tasks such as connecting laptops to printing machines and changing IP addresses. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. At least 3 years of machine maintenance experience. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of complex equipment. Experience with diagnostic tools including Digital Multimeter (DMM), Clamp Meter, Continuity Tester, Non-contact Voltage Tester, and Logic Probe for PLC I/O checks. Proficient use of basic hand and power tools. Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions, and engineering specifications. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Sheetfed Offset Printing Presses. Experience with high-speed manufacturing, print, bindery, inserting, packaging, or fulfillment equipment.
