Software Engineering, R&D Engineering Development Program

This 20-month R&D Engineering Development Program at Stryker cultivates software engineers through on-site rotations in medical device development. Participants work on robotic-assisted surgery software, gaining hands-on experience with mentorship and cross-functional exposure across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to design and implementation of application software for robotic surgical systems using Agile methodologies
- Execute software product development activities under supervision following defined requirements and architecture
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Marketing, and Project Management teams as Scrum team member
- Follow SDLC procedures including code reviews, testing, analysis, and defect management
- Assist in refining software engineering documentation per R&D procedures and Quality Management System
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
- Exposure to C++ and object-oriented programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
- Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration abilities
- Legal authorization to work in U.S. without employment-based sponsorship
Compensation: $77,700 - $168,400 USD Annual (based on job level classification)
