This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.YOUR TEAM. This position is rooted within the Private Client Services practice with a focus on tax services for Family Offices and UHNWIs. We work with clients to help them achieve their goals around complex financial matters tied to their business, individual and familial needs. The right candidate will own the attributes of executive presence and emotional intelligence, as well as having a growth mindset. Responsibilities include but not limited to:The Tax Manager in our Family Office team is expected to have high technical knowledge in review and prepare complex individual 1040 returns, fiduciary 1041 returns, 706, 709, family partnerships, private foundations, entity and foreign filingExperience with client facing, communicating with clientsScheduling work loads Leading engagements, being their point of contactManage accounts, train, assign work to staff and communicate directly to clients and partners Research topics communicate directly with tax authorities as needed. In addition, they should be able to research more complex topics, go out on proposals and be an expert in the area of individual tax; is able to identify client needs Responsible for billing and collectionsMentors and supports the staff YOUR EXPERIENCE. The successful candidate will have:Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting/TaxationCPA, JD or EA required5+ years of experience in a public accounting firm doing PCS work1+ year of supervisory experienceAbility to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environmentExperience with foreign filing, FBAR and multistateStrong knowledge and experience with ExcelSolid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ProSystem, CCH Axcess & Engagement, Caseware and BNAExceptional organizational, communication and presentation (verbal and written) skillsIn addition, please take a moment to review our Universal Job Standards.Studies have shown that we are less likely to apply to jobs unless we meet every single qualification.
