Key Responsibilities
- Review customer contracts, amendments, statements of work (SOWs), purchase orders, and reseller agreements to ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Analyze performance obligations, service periods, contract modifications, variable consideration, and other revenue accounting matters.
- Own month-end revenue activities, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, unbilled accounts receivable, customer deposits, and account reconciliations.
- Review and maintain revenue and billing schedules within Workday, investigating variances and resolving system-related issues.
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Service Delivery, and Finance teams to resolve contract and accounting questions while supporting audits, reporting, process improvements, and special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Experience reviewing customer contracts and performing revenue accounting in a SaaS, technology, software, or services-based environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Workday preferred), account reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end close processes.
