Senior Project ManagerMott MacDonald is looking for professionals to join our ever-expanding Transportation team here in the New York City Metro Area. We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager with experience in the New York City Metro Area for the rail transportation and infrastructure industry. The successful candidate is required to have a strong understanding of the construction industry in the New York City Metro Area and experience working on public agency projects.The candidate will apply a comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during construction, as well as the methods and techniques to be utilized. The candidate must become thoroughly familiar with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of the project. In addition to construction supervision, the candidate is also responsible for field administration, procurement, and field engineering.Provides and presents constructability reviews to client. Directs and reviews the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities, including planning for work under outages and under railroad flagger protectionDetermines and reviews budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. Manages and reviews the assignment of workforce, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goalsPossesses an understanding of project risks and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the projectPrepares and/or reviews cost and risk analyses and extra work claims for the clientWill be the primary client liaison and required to maintain a strong client relationshipKeeping the Construction Contractor compliant with the standard safety and quality assurance requirements of the client.
