KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Web Developer for an immediate contract engagement with our client.

Job Description :

We Are Seeking We Are Seeking an experienced Web Developer with strong Java and ApplinX expertise to support the ongoing maintenance and modernization of legacy applications through ApplinX web development solutions. This role will maintain existing ApplinX implementations, deliver enhancements as needed, and collaborate with technical teams to incorporate, test, and implement application changes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ApplinX development and administration, modern web technologies, Agile methodologies, legacy application modernization, and web services, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

·         Develop, maintain, and support ApplinX-based web solutions used to modernize and extend legacy applications.

·         Maintain existing ApplinX web development designs and implement enhancements as required.

·         Develop and support ApplinX servers, Designer environments, applications, web applications, and related host components.

·         Configure and maintain ApplinX environments according to established development and operational best practices.

·         Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective web-based solutions.

·         Work with customers and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document business and technical requirements.

·         Develop, test, and implement application changes while minimizing disruption to existing systems.

·         Perform functional and technical testing of ApplinX applications and related enhancements.

·         Troubleshoot application, integration, database, and web development issues and identify appropriate resolutions.

·         Apply modern web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

·         Develop and maintain integrations between ApplinX applications and other systems using SOAP, REST, and service-oriented architecture principles.

·         Apply Java and/or Microsoft .NET development skills to support application functionality and modernization efforts.

·         Work with JavaServer Pages (JSP) and related services to support web application functionality.

·         Support applications operating within Linux environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

·         Work with enterprise and legacy database technologies, including Adabas, and support SQL Server environments as needed.

·         Analyze application performance and structure solutions to produce well-performing, reliable websites and web applications.

·         Follow Agile software development and QA/testing practices throughout the development and maintenance lifecycle.

·         Use appropriate testing approaches to validate application functionality, integrations, and enhancements.

·         Collaborate with technical staff to ensure changes are properly implemented, tested, documented, and supported.

·         Provide knowledge transfer, technical guidance, and documentation to internal staff to support long-term maintenance of ApplinX solutions.

·         Track development activities and collaborate with project teams using tools such as Jira.

·         Research and apply ApplinX and web development best practices to improve application stability, maintainability, and performance.

Required Skills

·         7+ years of Java development experience, with the ability to develop, maintain, and support complex enterprise applications.

·          Advanced experience building and supporting web applications using JavaServer Pages (JSP) and related services.

·          Strong expertise in ApplinX, including hands-on experience with version 11.1 or newer and supporting associated application and server environments.

·          Advanced knowledge of front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

·          Experience designing and supporting system integrations using SOAP, REST APIs, and service-oriented architecture principles.

·          Intermediate experience administering and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.10 environments.

·          Experience working with Adabas databases and supporting applications that rely on legacy data platforms.

·          Advanced knowledge of software quality assurance practices, including developing and executing application test plans, test cases, and validation activities.

·          Advanced ability to troubleshoot and support PC hardware and end-user computing environments.

·          Experience gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.

·          Strong understanding of application maintenance, enhancement, and legacy modernization practices.

·          Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

·          Advanced experience working with SQL Server databases.

·          Familiarity with Jira Software for managing development activities, requirements, and project work.

·          Experience working within an Agile software development environment.

·          Experience with SCL.

·          Background supporting large-scale or legacy application modernization initiatives.

·          Experience integrating web applications with enterprise systems and services.

·          Familiarity with application performance optimization and production support practices.
