Clinical Nurse Coordinator Cath Lab

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Cath Lab within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this leadership-focused role, you will function as a working Registered Nurse and clinical resource, coordinating day-to-day operations of the cardiac catheterization laboratory while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, anesthesiologists, technologists, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, efficient procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, device implants, and other interventional and electrophysiology procedures.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator Cath Lab will oversee patient flow and bed placement for pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols, and support compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. You will participate in case preparation, patient assessment, sedation monitoring within scope, hemodynamic monitoring, and recovery, while also guiding staff in managing emergencies such as acute coronary syndromes and hemodynamic instability. Responsibilities include mentoring and precepting nurses, assisting with staff scheduling, supporting orientation and ongoing education, promoting a culture of safety, and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
