Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:


Provides comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, ensuring optimal health outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status by collecting relevant data and identifying care needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments following hospital policies and procedures.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing team members and supervise their performance.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to coordinate effective care.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure seamless transition of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate solid telemetry experience, especially for hybrid MS/Tele units.
• Preferably have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Show proficiency in critical thinking and clinical judgment.
