Accounting Clerk

Abode , one of the largest and most effective nonprofits working to end homelessness in the Bay Area, is seeking an Accounting Clerk for our programs in Alameda County.

About The Role: The Accounting Clerk covers a range of clerical and support responsibilities within the Accounting team. Duties include, but are not limited to file maintenance, preparation of mailings, vendor file creation and maintenance reviewing and processing reimbursement vouchers and all other administrative duties as requested.

How You Make An Impact :

• Vendor set up in accounting system
• Responsible for all PO inquiries for program staff.
• Monthly phone bill allocations to programs/projects.
• Preparation of mailings, copying and hand deliver the checks.
• Assist in check processing.
• Assist in preparation of invoicing.
• Liaison between Accounting and other departments.
• Maintain office supply stock for Accounting and Budgets & Planning departments.
• Provide administrative support to accounting staff as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

How You Meet Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting, equivalent experience may be substituted.
• Two years of accounting experience in a not-for-profit environment is preferred.
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
• Reliable transportation and proof of valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance, along with a clean DMV record, is required and the ability to travel to multiple locations.
