Guidewire Professional Services Data And Analytics Role

Guidewire Professional Services organization specialized in data and analytics is seeking an exceptional professional to join our team. In this role you will utilize Guidewire standards, and best practices to enable our customer's Data and Analytics initiative that are a mission critical component of their overall cloud journey. As a member of our organization, you will be expected to work with our customers, partners and other Guidewire team members to execute successful data transformation projects utilizing Guidewire's data solution portfolio of products and solution frameworks. In addition to your dedication to our customers' success you will share your knowledge and benefit of your experiences with other Guidewire colleagues, enhance our project methodology and build/expand our tooling to improve our project execution to enable predictable outcomes.

Given the dynamic nature of the work in the Data and Analytics team, we are looking for decisive, highly-skilled technical problem solvers who are self-motivated and take proactive actions for the benefit of our customers and ensure that they succeed in their journey to Guidewire Cloud Platform. You will collaborate closely with teams located around the world and adhere to our core values Integrity, Collegiality, and Rationality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business analysts to derive Data Management and Analytics technical solutions from Business Requirements Documents.
• Define project scope, user stories, acceptance criteria and estimates.
• Collaborate with data analysts, ETL and BI developers, and QA testers to assign appropriate implementation and testing tasks and deliver sprint goals.
• Enable offshore teams to be successful in delivering agreed upon business requirements while conforming to Guidewire best practices & standards.
• Coordinate with the PMO to provide technical leadership when necessary.
• Work in small teams and participate in a hands-on technical capacity when needed for meeting project goals.
• Deliver value to whichever substream you are assigned to in our customer's data journey whether it be the ingress side to our flagship core InsuranceSuite applications using our migration tooling or on the egress side, delivering value leveraging our data platform.
• Work within the broader Guidewire data team to improve our internal processes and methodology.
• Participate in the creation of new tooling to support and streamline our project outcomes.
• Be a self-motivated problem-solver who takes initiative and always puts customer success first.
• Adapt and perform at a high level in demanding fast-paced Agile environments.
• Guidewire consultants are expected to spend up to 50% of their time on-site with the customer business and technical teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency, and 10 years+ in delivery type role
• Proficiency in French and English (both written and spoken) is required to effectively communicate with clients and team members, and to support project deliverables in a French-language environment.
• Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts, in particular Kimball type Dimensional Models.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing projects.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in SQL, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, data validation and reconciliation, and cloud computing skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with complex datasets.
• 7+ years of experience in leading a team of Data Analysts and ETL / BI developers.
• Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience working with customer teams to understand business objectives and functional requirements, ability to lead and build consensus around requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage emerging technologies and AI in your role as well as use data-driven insights to foster innovation, boost productivity, and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Nice to have:

• Deep understanding of the P&C insurance domain, including concepts like policies, claims, billing, and underwriting.
• Experience with Guidewire Guidewire Data Platform - Data Studio, Explore, CDA, Datahub, InfoCenter.
• Experience with the Guidewire InsuranceSuite.
• Certification in Guidewire InsuranceSuite and any of Guidewire data products.
• Familiarity with data streaming and changed-data-capture concepts and technologies
• Familiarity working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.).
• Familiarity with AI Tools.
• Previous large scale data migration experience of successfully migrating data from mainframe or other complex legacy systems.
