Overview Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Senior Storage Solutions Architect Manager to lead a team of storage solution architects, working with customers, introducing new technologies, and adopting new solutions. The role requires strong people‑management, mentoring, and hiring skills, along with the ability to run technical go‑to‑market initiatives, surface customer insights to product teams, and develop metrics to track team success. Key Responsibilities Formulate and execute a sales strategy in partnership with business development and other stakeholders to exceed adoption and revenue objectives. Hire, onboard, train, and develop new Solutions Architects. Coach architects in conducting one‑to‑few and one‑to‑many training sessions, enabling them to transfer deep technical skills to customers. Step into a Solutions Architect role as needed to support customers. Capture and share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS solutions‑architect community. Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, datasheets, and other high‑value customer‑facing guidance. A day in the life of a Senior Manager for SA includes coaching and mentoring the team, engaging with service teams on new capabilities, and working cross‑functionally between field and world‑wide teams to serve customers. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 5+ years of technical, enterprise customer‑facing management experience. 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience. Bachelor’s degree. Experience architecting or operating solutions built on cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI. Preferred Qualifications Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
