Division 8 Project Manager - HYBRID / REMOTE

About the Client Our client has been a locally owned and operated MBE building materials supplier and construction solutions provider serving the New York metropolitan area for more than 30 years. Operating from a large distribution and operations facility in Brooklyn, the company supports major commercial construction projects throughout NYC metro. Their portfolio includes high profile projects like airports, healthcare facilities, public agencies, commercial towers, and institutional developments. The organization is known for its commitment to customer service, dependable project delivery, and long-standing relationships within the construction industry. Position Overview The Division 8 Project Manager will oversee commercial door, frame, and hardware projects from award through closeout. This individual will coordinate with general contractors, vendors, field teams, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to specification. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Division 8 products, excellent communication skills, and experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Manage Division 8 projects including hollow metal doors/frames, wood doors, finish hardware, access control coordination, and specialty openings Review construction documents, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings Coordinate procurement, fabrication, scheduling, and delivery of materials Maintain communication with general contractors, architects, consultants, and field personnel Track project schedules, budgets, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentation Work closely with estimating and purchasing teams to ensure accurate project execution Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders Identify and resolve project issues proactively to maintain timelines and client satisfaction Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards Qualifications 7+ years of experience managing Division 8 construction projects Strong understanding of commercial doors, frames, hardware, and related systems Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and general contractors Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced construction environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-scale commercial, healthcare, institutional, or public-sector projects Knowledge of hardware schedules, access control integration, and code requirements Estimating or detailing experience is a plus Competitive base salary around $150k Bonus opportunities based on performance Collaborative, team-oriented work environment with strong industry relationships #J-18808-Ljbffr Navigate Search
