Business Development Manager

A rapidly growing manufacturer in the foodservice packaging industry is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth and expand market presence across North America. This remote role is ideal for a motivated, entrepreneurial sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing sales strategies, and contributing to the growth of an emerging organization. This opportunity is fully remote with occasional travel to manufacturing site in Anderson, SC.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
• Identify, prospect, and secure new customer accounts across foodservice-related sectors, including restaurants, convenience stores, healthcare, education, military, and entertainment venues.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach and lead generation efforts.
• Manage customer relationships from initial contact through contract execution and onboarding.
• Utilize and maintain CRM systems to track opportunities, sales activity, and forecasting.
• Conduct outreach via phone, email, social media, referrals, and industry networking events.
• Coordinate product sampling programs and support customer implementation efforts.
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
• Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
• Provide regular pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations to leadership.

• Proven success in business development, outside sales, account acquisition, or related sales roles.
• Strong track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities.
• Experience using CRM platforms to manage sales pipelines and customer interactions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Experience within foodservice, packaging, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries (preferred).
• Experience helping develop sales processes or go-to-market strategies.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%-20% for customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and company visits.

• $60,000 - $80,000 + commission
