Service Engineer

Overview:
The Service Engineer is responsible for traveling to customer facilities to perform service-related tasks efficiently and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extensive travel required, 80% or more, including domestic and international assignments to deliver exceptional on-site service and support.
• Accurately set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts to ensure optimal machine performance and safety.
• Expertly align machines and equipment using precision tools and techniques to maintain operational efficiency.
• Assemble, install, and configure complex machinery and equipment according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Arrange, mark, and drill mounting holes; modify components as needed to achieve proper fit and function.
• Diagnose issues and replace defective parts promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Safely dismantle machines for repair, maintenance, or relocation, and reassemble to factory standards.
• Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly units, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on-site, providing effective solutions under time constraints.
• Communicate professionally with customers, provide updates, technical guidance, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the service process.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs
• Any additional duties assigned by management

Qualifications & Experience:
Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in machine building or field service; or another similar role
• Must be able to travel within the US and internationally
• Familiarity with FANUC robots is a plus
• PLC experience a plus
