Director of Products

Job Description

D50 Media is looking for an experienced digital product leader to work across our portfolio of digital brands as a senior partner to our Product Owners. This role is a force multiplier across Product: helping owners make stronger decisions, identify bigger opportunities, move important initiatives forward, and drive measurable growth.

The Director of Products will supervise and coach Product Owners/Managers while remaining close enough to the work to step into high-value initiatives or directly own a product when needed. This is not a project-management or backlog-management role. We are looking for someone who can connect strategy to execution and make the people and products around them better.

What You'll Do

· Coach and support Product Owners/Managers on strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, performance, and difficult product or business decisions.

· Look across brands, audiences, competitors, markets, and data to identify growth opportunities in organic search, AI discovery, conversion, user experience, new features, distribution, lead generation, and revenue.

· Lead or organize cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, SEO, Content, Design, Development, Analytics, Paid Media, and other teams, removing roadblocks and pushing important work into market.

· Help shape and implement go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new products, features, experiences, and major initiatives, including positioning, launch planning, adoption, and measurement.

· Help teams define success before launch, validate ideas before major resources are committed, and measure what actually happened afterward.

· Spot what is working on one brand and bring successful ideas, systems, and capabilities across the portfolio.

· Improve how we evaluate ideas, prioritize work, experiment, and decide when to iterate, scale, or stop.

· Advance practical use of AI and agent-based systems across product research, analysis, workflows, development, experimentation, and execution.

What We're Looking For

· Substantial digital product leadership experience, ideally in consumer web, digital media, publishing, lead generation, marketplaces, or performance marketing.

· A track record of building and scaling consumer-facing digital products with meaningful traffic, revenue, or business impact.

· Experience leading, coaching, or supporting multiple Product Managers/Product Owners and working closely with Design, Development, Analytics, Marketing, and Growth teams.

· Experience owning product strategy and roadmaps and developing and implementing GTM strategies.

· Hands-on experience applying AI to product development or operations, including experimentation with AI agents, automated workflows, or AI-enabled product experiences.

· Strong analytical judgment and experimentation experience, with the ability to challenge ideas constructively, communicate clearly, and build trust across teams.

· Comfort operating in ambiguity and moving between high-level strategy and hands-on problem solving.

Preferred Experience

Large content- or SEO-driven websites; AI search and emerging discovery channels; multiple brands or product lines; conversion optimization and A/B testing; lead generation or performance marketing; and regulated industries such as health or legal.

Engagement

This is a contract engagement for someone who wants to become meaningfully embedded in the work, not a consultant who joins one meeting a week and disappears. The initial engagement is designed to give both sides the opportunity to establish where you can create the most value, with room for the role to expand for the right person. Compensation: $10k - $15k Monthly.
