We are seeking a Civil Litigation Legal Assistant to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to civil litigation attorneys who practice in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington, out of our office in Roseville, CA. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and proofreading skills, someone who is attentive to detail, takes initiative, communicates well, and who enjoys working in a team environment. We provide great training opportunities by experienced legal assistants and paralegals and are willing to train motivated candidates who do not have significant experience in the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

· Calendaring state and federal litigation deadlines;

· Court filing (electronic and standard);

· Assisting attorneys with document preparation;

· Proofreading and formatting in compliance with court requirements;

· Follow-up on filings;

· Scheduling and subpoenaing witnesses to trial and depositions;

· Assisting attorneys in answering discovery;

· Assisting with trial preparation;

· Complete other litigation support activities as delegated.

• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong attention to detail, maintain organized approach to work assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Proficiency in MS Office programs and Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Experience with (or ability to learn) legal calendaring software
• Experience (or ability to learn) scheduling depositions
• Experience (or ability to learn) subpoenaing medical records and witnesses
• Experience with personal injury litigation is a plus;
