Compliance Specialist

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Role is focused on compliance and data management relating to corrosion control and integrity management for natural gas pipelines and facilities
• Manages, oversees, and reviews compliance data in the Cathodic Protection Data Management system and in the Remote Monitoring Unit portal(s)
• Understands state and federal regulations, requirements, interpretations, and procedures for corrosion control
• Creates, tracks, reviews and manages corrosion control KPIs

Primary Duties

1. Monitors and supports compliance programs and assures adherence to regulatory requirements.
2. Communicates compliance needs and status reports with supervisors and other business stakeholders.
3. Prepares and submits regulatory or compliance reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
4. Assists with compliance audits, inspections, schedules, training, observation, testing, and evaluations.
5. Provides support for communication and coordination with various regulatory agencies to provide requested documentation and support compliance activities and programs.
6. Monitors compliance activities and orders to assure compliance schedules.
7. May conduct field inspections, which involve observing employees and contractors performing operating and maintenance functions (covered tasks) on pipeline facilities.
8. Demonstrates knowledge of compliance regulations, plans, programs, and procedures.
9. Supports internal audits to determine the effectiveness of programs and identify opportunities for improvement.

Minimum Requirements

• Educational/Experience Level: Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years progressively responsible experience; or equivalent.
• Communication Skills: Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the area under discussion.
• Numeric Skills: Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
• Computer Skills: Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and/or graphics.
• Work Conditions: Works in an office environment and requires occasional travel. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
