Project Controller

DescriptionWe are looking for a Project Controller to support the financial oversight of complex construction initiatives in Deer Park, Texas. This position plays a key role in tracking project performance, strengthening cost visibility, and helping teams make informed financial decisions throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in project and construction accounting, along with the ability to manage forecasts, reporting, and controls across large-scale assignments.Responsibilities:• Monitor project budgets, committed costs, and actual spending to help maintain financial accuracy across active construction work.• Prepare routine financial reports, variance analyses, and performance updates for project leaders and stakeholders.• Develop and maintain project forecasts by evaluating cost trends, contract values, and expected financial outcomes.• Partner with project management teams to review billing, revenue recognition, and overall financial status of assigned projects.• Support accounting processes tied to large-scale construction programs, including cost tracking, reconciliations, and budget adjustments.• Maintain accurate project financial records within Deltek and related accounting systems to ensure timely reporting and data integrity.• Contribute to process improvement efforts by applying analytical tools and AI-based modeling approaches to strengthen financial workflows and reporting efficiency.• Assist with system-related accounting activities, including updates involving Deltek Vision or Construction Pro, when required by project operations.Requirements• Experience in project accounting and construction accounting within project-based environments.• Strong understanding of financial forecasting, cost control, and budget analysis for construction projects.• Ability to support the accounting needs of large, multi-phase, or high-value projects.• Working knowledge of Deltek, including experience with Deltek Vision or similar project accounting platforms.• Proficiency in analyzing financial data and translating results into clear project-level insights.• Familiarity with project management practices and collaboration across operational and finance teams.• Exposure to process optimization, including the use of AI-driven modeling or analytical methods, is preferred.Job typePerm
