Pillar Properties is a remarkable place to build your career.We are on the list of Seattle Business Magazine's Washington's 100 Best Companies to Work For AND the Puget Sound Business Journal roster of Washington's Best Workplaces (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023).What You'll DoMaintain all apartments and common areas with preventative maintenance as the goalComplete all written work orders assigned in a timely mannerPerform plumbing work such as operating a drain cleaning drum and replacing a domestic water circulation pumpPerform electrical work such as troubleshooting failed electrical circuits and replacing a 20a breakerPerform appliance repairs such as replacing washing machine door seal to a stove glass topPerform HVAC repairs such cleaning an evaporator coil and replacing an exhaust fan motorPaint apartments and majority of common areasAssist with training and development of safety procedures and hazard communicationsRespond to all community emergencies as requestedTravel as assigned between local properties, if applicableOther duties as assignedWhat You BringHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredOne (1) year of related maintenance experienceBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with residents, employees, and vendorsAbility to work a flexible schedule with regular and timely attendanceMust have own hand toolsKnowledge of prep and painting techniquesBasic electrical, plumbing, floor care and HVAC skillsBasic knowledge of appliancesAbility to be trained in alarms, and emergency systemsSome familiarity with elevator operation and maintenance is preferredFamiliarity with fire suppression and irrigation systems is preferredPhysical Requirements: This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 90 lbs.), pushing/pulling, and other physical activities.
