DATTCO currently has a full-time Mechanic opening in our School Bus Fleet Maintenance department. DATTCO was founded in 1924 and is a third generation, family-owned transportation company. DATTCO is now New England’s largest private passenger transportation company. Our School Bus Division consists of a fleet of over 1,000 buses. We transport over 140,000 students in 30 school districts located throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. Primary Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles Perform diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles Complete required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage Make road calls Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor Position Requirements: High school diploma, trade school or equivalent. Minimum of one-year experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair Mechanical aptitude Driver’s license Possess the physical strength to safely perform all required tasks #J-18808-Ljbffr
