Certified Nurse Assistant – Long-Term Care

Part Time (2 shifts/3 shifts rotational biweekly) All contracts must run through the holiday season and start on a Tuesday or Thursday for full shift orientation.

Contract Length: 27 weeks

Requirements:

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required
• BLS (AHA or RQI) certification required
• One (1) year of previous long-term care experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in their care plans, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the resident's environment, responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Assist in meeting residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery and adaptive equipment.
• Support residents' rehabilitative needs by engaging in therapeutic activities such as range of motion exercises and ambulation.
• Report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the supervising nurse promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
