This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled health care activities for mentally ill patients with physical as well as behavioral problems. This position works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Nursing Supervision. They model professional behavior and interactions and facilitate unit-based patient activities in a manner that maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu. Additionally, Health Care Technician II is responsible for performing all HCT I task, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by the Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates professional behavior in interactions with all patients and co-workers and has a thorough working knowledge of daily operations of the patient care units. They must illustrate the ability to effectively interact and communicate with a diverse patient population, family members, and other team members.
