Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a complex care unit serving Medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients with a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7
• Perform telemetry monitoring on the unit, including pacemaker management (temporary and permanent), and utilize Rapid Response and Code teams as needed
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and administer blood products and heparin protocols
• Provide respiratory support including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and tracheostomy management
• Perform wound care and wound vac management, phlebotomy, IV starts, and maintain isolation precautions
• Float to other units as required and assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• EPIC charting proficiency is a hard requirement
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement patient populations
• Familiarity with complex long-term patient care in a tertiary care hospital setting
• Comfort managing a broad range of respiratory support modalities and advanced line management
• Experience working in a high-acuity environment with floating responsibilities across units
