This position is ideal for individuals with industrial sewing experience who want steady hours, weekly pay, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in manufacturing. This is not a home sewing or alterations position. Candidates must have experience operating industrial sewing equipment and be comfortable performing repetitive production work while maintaining quality standards throughout the shift. Job Duties Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture and assemble industrial tarps and tarp systems Sew heavy materials including vinyl, canvas, and industrial fabrics Inspect materials and finished products for defects and quality concerns Read measurements, production orders, and work instructions to complete sewing tasks accurately Follow production schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures Communicate machine, material, or quality issues to production leads and supervisors Must-Have Requirements Minimum of 1 year of industrial or manufacturing sewing machine experience Ability to sit and perform sewing work for 8-10 hours per shift Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally Ability to accurately read a tape measure Basic math skills Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable attendance and punctuality Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays when required Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing or production experience Experience sewing tarps, heavy fabrics, canvas, vinyl, or similar materials Experience reading patterns, production instructions, or blueprints Experience following quality control procedures Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments Work Environment - Important Information Please apply only if you are comfortable working in the following conditions: Non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility Hot and humid temperatures during warmer months Loud production environment Exposure to moving machinery and airborne particles PPE required at all times Primarily seated work with repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movement Fast-paced production environment with daily production goals Physical Requirements Sit for extended periods throughout the shift Frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms Frequent reaching and repetitive motion Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
