Behavioral Intervention Specialist

A Behavioral Intervention Specialist provides direct behavioral and therapeutic support to individuals in a structured day treatment setting The specialist implements individualized treatment and behavior plans under the supervision of clinical staff to promote emotional regulation positive behavior and skill development. Primary Duties: Implement behavior intervention and treatment plans as assigned. Support clients during group activities classroom instruction and therapeutic sessions. Monitor behaviors and use approved deescalation and behavior management strategies. Collect and document behavioral data progress notes and incident reports. Assist clients with coping skills social skills and daily routines. Maintain a safe structured and supportive environment. Collaborate with clinicians teachers and treatment team members. Qualifications: Experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional needs preferred. Bachelors degree in human services psychology education or a related field required OR a minimum of four 4 years of relevant experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional needs.
