After School Program Coordinator

About This Role

We're seeking a full-time position in our afterschool program, working with school-age children (K-5th) from 9:30 to 5:30 or 10:00 to 6:00. The role involves morning floating between younger classes during the school year and running a full-time school-age program during summer. Administrative responsibilities are also part of the job.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with other afternoon classroom teachers to provide top-notch care for our school-age children.

Foster a safe and engaging environment by adhering to DHS licensing rules and QRIS standards, while also following our classroom schedule.

Supervise classrooms, lead snack times, facilitate conversations with parents during pick-ups, plan and chaperone field trips, and help resolve conflicts and foster positive interactions with children.

In addition to being a team player, you must be over 21, possess a clean driving record, and be willing to obtain an F endorsement for driving a small bus.

Requirements

We require a minimum high school diploma, and some upper education is a plus.

Previous experience working with school-age children is a must.

MUST BE 21 Years old** To be able to obtain F endorsement and drive a small bus.

Nice To Haves

Additional education or training in early childhood education or a related field would be a welcome asset.

TCDC is a faith based, non-profit, fully licensed childcare center in Knoxville, TN. We are a ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church, a 3 STAR center, and strive to provide the highest quality of care to the families we serve. We are looking for honest and hard working people who love working with children and have a like minded view that this ministry is a mission field for the community we serve. We offer a full day program for infants through Pre-Kindergarten and an after-school program that services 4 elementary schools in our community. When school is not in session, we also offer a full day program for our school age children. We are praying for the perfect people to add to our program, and we look forward to hearing from you!
