Contract Details:

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: As soon as possible
• Pay Rate: $80.00-$85.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, 4x10 hour shifts, with on-call requirements
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary: This is a travel contract position for a Cath Lab Tech at a leading healthcare facility in Rochester, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures
• Perform interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assist with cardiac implant closure device procedures
• Assist with cardiac stent placement procedures
• Perform diagnostic catheterizations on adult patients
• Place and remove intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
• Interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Perform left heart catheterization procedures
• Perform percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
• Perform percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
• Perform right heart catheterization procedures
• Perform rotablader atherectomy procedures
• Set up equipment for procedures
• Serve as scrub technician in cath lab procedures
• Maintain sterile field and sterile technique
• Serve as room circulator for procedures

• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab experience
• Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience
• Cardiac Implant Closure Device knowledge
• Cardiac Stent Placement experience
• Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult experience
• IABP Placement/Removal proficiency
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Left heart catheterization experience
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) experience
• Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) experience
• Right heart catheterization experience
• Rotablader atherectomy experience
• Scrub procedures experience
• Equipment setup capability
• Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Room circulator proficiency
• Sterile technique and sterile field maintenance

Education Requirements:

• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT R certification required (RCIS certification acceptable if ARRT not held; note that only one RCIS-certified technician can be scheduled at a time due to on-call impact)

Required Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• 4x10 hour shifts
• On-call requirements
• Local candidates must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
