Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred/required
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
• Ability to work in fast-paced operating room environments
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
• BLS certification may be required

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and arrange surgical instruments
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies
• Anticipate surgeon needs during operations
• Count instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after surgery
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist with positioning
• Handle specimens according to policy
• Clean and restock operating rooms post-procedure
