We are looking for a Lead Cloud Services Developer role within Cloud Center of Excellence. This role is responsible for designing, building, and evolving a modular, API-driven cloud services platform and a web-based developer portal that enables secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure consumption across the enterprise. Operating at the intersection of software engineering, cloud platform engineering, and emerging AI capabilities, the role provides technical direction, defines service patterns, and drives consistency across public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).

A day in this role includes designing and developing modular, reusable cloud platform services and RESTful APIs that abstract infrastructure complexity and enable standardized consumption across engineering teams. Leading the development and evolution of a web-based cloud services portal, including backend services and user-facing components supporting self-service provisioning. Defining and maintaining service interfaces, API contracts, integration patterns, and versioning strategies to ensure scalability and long-term maintainability. Providing technical leadership and guidance across platform and portal initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and operational standards. Developing backend services and orchestration layers using Python and PHP to support platform automation and portal functionality. Integrating AI capabilities, including generative AI and agentic AI patterns, to enhance developer experience, intelligent automation, and platform interactions. Building infrastructure-backed services using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation across multi-cloud environments. Owning and continuously improving the Golden Container Image Factory and Cloud Server Image Factory, ensuring secure, compliant, version-controlled images across operating systems and cloud providers. Collaborating closely with engineering, security, networking, and UX/UI teams to deliver cohesive and user-friendly internal developer platform experiences. Driving continuous improvements in platform scalability, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency. Mentoring senior and mid-level engineers, promoting best practices in platform engineering, modular architecture, and software development.

The expertise requested includes a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud platform engineering, or related disciplines within enterprise environments. Proven experience designing and developing modular, API-driven platforms or Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs). Strong hands-on expertise in backend development using Python and PHP, including scalable RESTful API design. Experience building and integrating web-based developer portals with backend services. Expert-level experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and cloud automation practices. Hands-on experience across public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) with a strong understanding of multi-cloud design. Strong experience with containerization (Docker) and container image lifecycle management. Proven experience designing and managing cloud server image pipelines across multiple operating systems and cloud providers. Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, networking fundamentals, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud security principles, including IAM, policy enforcement, and secure software supply chain practices. Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, influence cross-functional teams, and mentor engineers without direct people management responsibility.

Desired or nice to have expertise includes experience integrating generative AI, agentic AI workflows, and intelligent automation into platform or application solutions. Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts and implementation patterns. Experience building developer productivity tooling and self-service platforms at scale. Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Professional, Azure Expert, or DevOps Engineer certifications. Experience working in highly regulated or security-focused enterprise environments.
