Lead Production Planner

POSITION SUMMARY

This position coordinates and manages the Planning Department and associated Planners. Provides training and monitors planning activities and metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and implements the company's production control functions including any of the following activities: production planning/coordination, shop scheduling and dispatching, material requirements, planning systems, work‑in‑process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function Responsible for planning, reviewing, and developing production procedures and personnel May coordinate activities with materials function using enterprise resource planning systems Maintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, on time delivery and FGI inventory metrics, support performance and process procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily works in an office environment which is normally fast paced

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demand Ability to manage and lead a staff of professional Production Planners Ability to organize, schedule, coordinate, and negotiate effectively and to set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment Good understanding of SAP and the ability to apply to manufacturing processes Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand‑based manufacturing systems Strong organizational skills Ability to work with several projects simultaneously Ability to motivate others in a team environment

EXPERIENCE

Experience in a high mix/low volume, pull‑based manufacturing environment Previous experience in production planning required

EDUCATION

BS in Business Administration, Production Operations Management, or closely related field or a combination of relevant experience and/or education, that is equivalent to a four year degree APICS CPIM Certification strongly desired #J-18808-Ljbffr Advanced Energy Management Limited
