Senior Electrical/Mechanical Estimator – Data Centre We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical/Mechanical Estimator to join our team, specializing in data centre projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and competitive estimates for complex data centre projects, contributing to the success and growth of our organization. Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical and mechanical systems in data centre projects. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements. Utilize software tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam to develop comprehensive estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and requirements. Identify potential risks and opportunities within project estimates and provide recommendations to mitigate risks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure competitive and accurate estimates. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions to gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and proposals to clients and internal teams. Assist in the development and refinement of estimating processes and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy. Monitor and update cost databases to reflect current market conditions. Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure accurate cost projections. Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related matters. Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals to clients. Qualifications Proven experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Estimator, with a focus on data centre projects. Proficiency in estimating software, particularly Accubid and Bluebeam. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, materials, and construction methods. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external clients. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
