The Columbia Group (TCG), is a technical services support company which has a successful 50+ year history of providing the United States government with financial management support services, information technology, program management, acquisition, logistics management, engineering, and design. We are seeking a Corporate Development Associate to join our team on a remote basis with easy accessibility to the DC Metropolitan Area for meetings. The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven ability to bring in NEW business.
- Build client relationships.
- Meet potential clients in person.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients; respond to their requests and work with them to resolve issues and meet their needs.
- Schedule meetings, coordinating schedules with clients and other professionals, and confirm meetings 24 hours in advance.
- Research potential client prospects through use of public and private media (or other sources as appropriate).
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field (preferably Marketing or Business Administration)
- Experience with the following:
- DoD and/or Navy Industry A PLUS
- Marketing and research
- Strategic communication skills
- Ability to write proposals clearly and professionally
- Ability to operate collaboratively in a team
- Ability to build and maintain spreadsheets tracking multiple pieces of data
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proactive problem-solving mentality and the ability to take ownership of tasks through completion
- Reliability and responsiveness
- US citizenship required
