Chief of Staff

GOGov is a fast-growing & profitable software company in the highly attractive GovTech space based out of Long Island, NY. 

We supply over 650+ municipalities around the country with the tools necessary to maintain, develop and connect millions of citizens with their local governments. Through programs like Citizen Request, Mobile Notifications and Online Permitting – we make government simple for citizens, elected officials and the staff that manage it.

We are seeking a proactive, fast-learning and hands-on professional who is comfortable tackling both strategic projects and everyday tasks to serve as the CEO’s right-hand partner in an innovative 25+ person tech company.

YOUR MISSION

Act as the CEO’s trusted operator — driving special projects, scaling operations and implementing AI and other technology across the company while still doing administrative tasks when needed.

• $100,000 - $130,000 base salary (commensurate with experience and skills)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the CEO’s primary executive support and project coordinator
• Own meeting agenda setting & follow-ups, cross-team coordination, and action-item tracking
• Handle office operations ranging from low-level administrative tasks to high-level operational initiatives
• Identify and drive process improvements across departments
• Use AI & software tools to streamline repetitive processes

Sample Potential Initial Assignments:

• Assist with Recruiting and Hiring process
• Act as Office Manager and organize / streamline processes
• Support the RFP process including improving content library, templates & process
• Back up to Finance when needed (billing, contracts, registrations, customer inquiries)

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in fast-paced small companies or startups (ideally supporting a founder or executive)
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Comfortable with both strategic projects and routine tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Quick learner who independently masters new tools and systems
• Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive information
• Strong plus : Experience with AI tools & agents for prompting, documentation, and knowledgebase building
• Strong plus : Experience with bookkeeping, invoicing, or basic financial operations
• Strong plus : Experience in SaaS or GovTech
