Overview Registered Nurse – PCU/IMCU | Utica, NY | Start 08/17/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,154–$2,219 per week | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Shift: 2x3 Days | Setting: hospital travel assignment This travel RN position is for a PCU/IMCU assignment on a 64‑bed unit (15 designated Neuro beds) with a focus on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. The unit requires floating to other areas as needed. EPIC is the designated EMR, and patient care includes management of chronic ventilation and related devices. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,154–$2,219 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract length: 13 weeks Shift: 2x3 Days Start date: 08/17/2026 Unit: IMCU/PCU on a 64-bed unit (15 designated Neuro beds); floating required EMR: EPIC; patient care includes neuro, cardiac, trauma, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post-op Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for adult patients in IMCU/PCU with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory needs Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications, and document findings in EPIC Manage patients with complex conditions, including ventilated individuals; collaborate with respiratory therapy for vent management Respond to changes in patient condition, implement care plans, and elevate to physicians as needed Utilize unit equipment (e.g., temp pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP) and support post‑op and step‑down care Maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and infection control standards; participate in float coverage across related units as required Requirements Licenses: Active NY Registered Nurse license; Nursys verification; all RN licenses verified Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Experience: Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience EMR: EPIC experience required Additional: Local candidates within 75 miles eligible for local rate; RTO must be included at submission Demographics: Able to care for adults (and suitable for unit patient population) Credentials: Driver’s license with address that matches demographics Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Weekly pay: $2,154–$2,219 13‑week travel assignment Local rate eligibility for candidates within 75 miles Assignment support through Healthforce Healthcare LLC during the travel period Pay Disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
