Base pay range $200,000.00/yr - $600,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Focus Capital Markets Focus Capital is supporting its asset manager and its private hedge fund, which operates across multiple asset classes and strategies. We are looking for a hands‑on lead technologist with Java expertise to build and improve all applications and tools that facilitate the day‑to‑day performance of fixed‑income trading systems and overall buy side operations, such as performance engines, hedge fund accounting systems, etc. One of the first projects is to build a new middle and back office trading and settlements platform from scratch in a scalable fashion that leverages modern technologies and can withstand the test of time. A strong background in fixed‑income technology is required to succeed in this position. In this role, you would be working for one of the preeminent buy side trading firms in the world, with significant upside potential as well as a major emphasis on quality‑of‑life and work/life balance. 5+ years of buy side technology experience. Hands‑on development experience with Core Java Vast knowledge of technology platforms utilized internally by hedge funds Strong fixed‑income knowledge is required. Must understand middle office hedge fund operations Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Quantitative finance experience. Bachelors in mathematics, physics, computer science, computational finance or a related field of study.
