Job Description:Join our team and earn $22.25 per hour!Pitney Bowes is now hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Warehouse Presort Associate 3 in our Phoenix, AZ facility.3rd shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00 pm - 6:00 amBase Rate: $20.75/hr$1.50/hr additional for 3rd shiftYou Are:An individual who enjoys a fast paced, physical production environment while developing new skills in the mailing industry. You are a hard-working and vital contributor to our company’s success in meeting productivity standards and customer satisfaction ratings.Lead:Assur the accurate and timely processing of the mail run on the MLOCR EquipmentAssign workers to the appropriate equipment and job dutiesSet up machines. Verify quality of sorted mail using QMS proceduresAssist in preparation of USPS and Production reporting as requiredAssist with a variety of warehouse tasks including but not limited to presorting and machine operating as neededResponsible for overseeing production workers in designated areasDirect production and personnel issues to Supervisor in a timely mannerOversee quality in assigned area. Assure QMS processes and procedures are followed at all timesFollow-up to assure processing proceeds at the pace needed to meet postal deadlinesOffer suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, motivation of employeesKeep down time to a minimum, assist in meeting and/or exceeding site PFPLH metricRemain informed of Acceptance Times and when trucks must leave. Assure mail is prepared to hit these timesAssist Customer Service team and Operations team to communicate and resolve mail quality issuesTrainer:Train new employees in job functions, policies, assigns designated individuals to complete the trainingConduct classroom Orientation Program training for contingent and new employees (Day 1 Orientation and Introduction to Presort)Lead classroom training of PB Employees in Certification programs as scheduledCoordinate various employee engagement initiatives and activitiesWork with and Support site PAL’s with on-the-job trainingCoordinate with Management and PAL’s to identify opportunities for future training and assist Presort Academy Program Director with building training as requiredAnswer employee questions during training and direct employees to the right area/individual based on their needsProvide feedback and reporting to Management regarding employee training statusGeneral:Must possess and maintain current certifications as outlined for Presort Academy. Additional certification training may be required as current training is updated and new training is developedDemonstrate safety and security precautions and follows company policiesPerform all additional duties as requiredYour Background:1 to 2 years’ experience in a Lead roleSkilled and knowledgeable across all areas of warehouse operationsAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and USPS postal regulationsAbility to prepare reports and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employeesAbility to proficiently speak and understand English. Ability to speak and understand other languages a plusEffective communications and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead and engage/interact with large groups of employeesAbility to calculate and prepare various reports regarding volumes, rejects and other pertinent dataSolid understanding of use of Windows environment to set up production runsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished orally or in writingAbility to solve basic problems that arise in the production environmentRequires the ability to stand, walk, stoop and bend up to 80% of the timeRequired to lift up to 50 lbs.Dependable and reliableKnowledge of the pre-sort mailing business is a plusThe ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance noticeOur Team:Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS.
