SVP, Media Strategy & Business DevelopmentThe SVP, Media Strategy & Business Development is a senior leadership position that sits at the intersection of agency growth and client media excellence. This leader plays a critical role in driving new business acquisition – leading pursuits, shaping pitch narratives, and positioning the agency's media capabilities to win – while simultaneously serving as a senior strategic partner on key accounts, delivering the innovative media strategies that fuel client success.What makes this role unique is its continuity: the strategic vision and relationships built during the pitch become the foundation for long-term client partnerships. This leader wins the work and leads the work, ensuring a seamless transition from pitch room to planning room.ResponsibilitiesCo-lead new business media and integrated pursuits for large, complex, and Power of One opportunities – crafting compelling pitch narratives that showcase creative, data, media, and technology capabilitiesEngage directly with C-level and senior executive decision-makers across digital marketing, marketing transformation, and integrated marketingFoster a win-or-learn culture with accountable tracking of progress against plans and budgetsClient Media Strategy & PlanningServe as the senior media strategy lead on key accounts, overseeing the full media strategy and planning function in collaboration with client teams to ensure business targets and goals are metDevelop, implement, and drive strategy inclusive of media mix modeling, scenario planning, and strategic budget guidance that advances client business outcomesLead the development of communications plans – directing data needs, uncovering business and consumer insights, defining business-driving strategies, and creating inventive connections plans that bring those strategies to lifeBring thought leadership and fresh perspective grounded in a deep understanding of omni-channel customer experience, with the ability to manage downstream, cross-channel campaign executionsPartner with creative, data, and cross-functional teams to translate strategies into business-driving ideas and direct long-range campaign planning to ensure best use of resourcesBuild and lead a scaled brand and performance strategy, planning, and research capability with a track record of breakthrough innovationChampion the ongoing evolution of the strategy discipline, upskilling teams to maintain a competitive edge for the agency and its clientsLeadership & CultureDrive the agency's Innovation and Thought Leadership agenda – both as a growth asset and as an engine for modern marketing solutionsProvide staffing recommendations, team development, and daily supervision to ensure a high-performing, future-ready teamEnsure connectivity across all relevant internal and external stakeholdersQualificationsBA/BS in Marketing, Advertising, or related field15+ years of experience spanning digital and traditional media strategy, planning, and business development within an agency environment10+ years of staff management experience with proven ability to lead teams, set strategic vision, and executeDemonstrated success leading major client businesses and strategy for large, complex accounts resulting in measurable growth and client satisfactionDeep experience in media pitches and new business with a proven track record of winsExperience navigating holding company and large, matrixed organizations; skilled at partnering with practice leads to co-develop go-to-market strategies and positioningAbility to translate data into actionable business solutions that enhance strategies and meet deliverablesAbility to travel (10%)Additional InformationThe Power of One starts with our people! This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
