Role Overview Alpha students advance through adaptive learning platforms at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your responsibility is ensuring three core commitments are met for every child in your cohort: they genuinely enjoy school, they accelerate learning by 2×, and they acquire skills beyond any textbook’s scope. You will also develop the Guides who uphold these commitments throughout your campus. Core Responsibilities Facilitate one‑hour interactive life‑skills and social‑emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K‑8 students covering topics such as public speaking and concentration, using Alpha’s established framework. Conduct daily motivational sessions to ensure 100% of students reach their weekly app‑based objectives through age‑appropriate motivators including school currency and leaderboards. Develop Guides through direct observation, specific feedback, and practical training so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy. Analyze Coachbot data and student records to identify students requiring intervention, then provide that intervention directly. Mentor your assigned student cohort personally, exemplifying the coaching and motivational techniques expected from all Guides. What You Won’t Be Doing Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress through adaptive applications; your focus is making the people supporting them exceptional. Delivering traditional lectures to a classroom. You’re 80% entertainer, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn’t suitable. Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administration. When a student achieves 99%, the response is “not yet” — and you’ll receive full support to maintain that standard. Working from an office processing administrative tasks. The majority of your time is spent directly with students and Guides. Waiting extended periods for performance feedback. Data is available in real‑time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately. Key Responsibilities Fulfill Alpha’s three promises throughout your cohort and among the Guides you develop: every child loves school, learns at 2× speed, and develops genuine life skills. Basic Requirements Currently located in or prepared to relocate to one of the locations listed above. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred; traditional teaching certifications are not required). Minimum five years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a related area. Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives. Proven history of managing a team of five or more individuals, including recruitment and performance‑based separation decisions. Background in coaching, mentoring, or delivering constructive feedback to enhance engagement and performance. Experience supporting youth aged 5–14 in educational or developmental environments. Competency in leveraging data and metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Nice‑to‑Have Requirements Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or Business. Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program leader where you directly motivated children to achieve quantifiable goals. Background coaching adults in positions where their output was measured and evaluated. Confidence performing before large groups of children, commanding attention in a room full of 8‑year‑olds.
