CSMs are the main client contact for service delivery and work closely with Aon PEP leaders and our service partners to deliver a high-quality, market-leading 401(k) experience. In addition, the Client Service Manager must:Have a strong command of client objectivesStay current on 401(k) regulatory and legislative landscapeHave at least 5 years of experience in retirement consulting, plan management, and client serviceHave skills and judgment to recognize how to appropriately support clients through complex 401(k) regulatory and administrative issuesHave the analytical and organizational skills to understand how to monitor, review, and identify 401(k) administrative concernsHave Excel expertise and the ability to strategically identify and resolve data discrepanciesHave the ability to delegate a team of analysts and oversee completion and accuracy of workflowHave the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, tracking multiple deliverables and inquiries across multiple clients and participants at one timeLead special projects, such as plan design changes, plan amendments, custom communications, educational webinars, payroll corrections, and merger & acquisition supportThis role may have people management and leadership opportunities, depending on the experience and interest of the candidate. In this role, you will expand your knowledge of 401(k) plan design, administration, compliance, and procedures. You will also work directly with clients and third-party vendors, serving as a project manager and resource. Experience in the 401(k) industry is required, as you will have a fair amount of discretion in ensuring plan compliance across participant employers and delivering high quality services.How this opportunity is different You will enjoy working with a broad range of people. We look forward to nurturing your talents not only to support our clients and team, but also to encourage you in your personal growth and career goals.Skills and experience that will lead to success:Expert understanding of 401(k) plan design, administration, and complianceAdvanced knowledge of Excel- specific to working with census data, financial data, calculating plan corrections and annual contribution calculations. (The ideal candidate will be well-versed with formulas such as V-lookup and "if,then" calculations.)Advanced analytical skills and the ability to strategically identify and resolve data discrepancies is a great asset.Ability to own and take responsibility for multiple clients; manage multiple issues, questions, and concerns on a daily basisOutstanding project management and delegation skills.Ability to keep your team on-task to ensure all deliverables are tracked and completed accurately and in a timely fashionAbility to oversee the fulfillment of colleague workOutstanding time management skills; Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organizedGood written, oral, and interpersonal skills; Comfortable and effective communication when engaging clients and vendorsAbility to navigate difficult circumstances and works well within a team environment. Resourceful, strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProven people management and leadership skills will be viewed favorablyEducation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $90,000-$110,000 annually. Salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
