# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – Tennessee**Start Date:** October 19, 2026 **Location:** Hermitage, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement; self-scheduling with 4-week schedules; day shift ratios 1:4 to 1:5, night shift ratios 1:5 to 1:6**Highlights:** - Progressive Care Unit with 34-bed and 25-bed units supporting high-acuity patient populations- Advanced equipment and procedures including BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, cardiac drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and peritoneal dialysis- Documentation via Meditech EMR system- Floating may occur between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors as needed- Strong tech support with 2-3 patient care technicians available per unit when at full capacity- Self-scheduling model with collaborative, family-oriented team culture**Requirements:** - Active RN license in good standing- BLS and ACLS certifications required- Critical thinking skills with strong EKG rhythm interpretation abilities- Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips- Peripheral IV skills required- Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred- Experience with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen systems, stroke care, and post-cardiac catheterization care- Familiarity with tube feedings, NG/Dobhoff tubes, central line dressing changes, and wound vac troubleshooting**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This PCU position offers the chance to work with a highly collaborative team known for their "care like family" culture and exceptional teamwork.
