Essential Job Functions Communicate effectively with staff, assigning and instructing guest service representatives. Greet guests with a friendly welcome and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions. Complete the registration process, confirm guest information, promote marketing programs, choose appropriate rooms, code electronic keys, and close guest accounts at checkout. Verify and imprint credit cards, handle cash, record vouchers and traveler checks, and post charges to guest rooms and house accounts. Answer telephone calls positively and clearly, and retrieve messages for guests. Remain calm and alert during emergency situations, resolve customer complaints, authorize revenue allowances only after other solutions have been offered. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with standards. Work a cyclical schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Maintain a neat, clean, and well‑groomed appearance per company standards. Physical Demands Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 10 lbs. Standing and moving around in the guest services area and building throughout the shift. Standing for the majority of the shift. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or its equivalent. Experience: Hotel experience required; additional two years of combined front desk and supervisory experience preferred. Additional language ability preferred. No special license required. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.
