Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital and is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice provides high-quality veterinary care to companion animals and exotic species, delivering comprehensive and compassionate medicine within a supportive team environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and is closed on Saturday and Sunday. The role offers flexible scheduling options, with the opportunity to work three or four days per week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups while providing clear client communication and education. Clinical responsibilities include diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, emergency care, pharmacy and prescribing duties, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also involves collaborating closely with the hospital team to promote efficiency, uphold medical protocols, participate in daily rounds, and support high standards of patient care. The position requires at least one year of veterinary experience and is suited to a veterinarian with strong clinical, surgical, and communication skills.

Practice Details
The hospital provides core care services including routine exams, vaccinations and preventative care, internal medicine, emergency care, dental care, grooming, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, and exotic animal medicine. The practice supports advanced medical and surgical services and offers mentorship in areas such as exotic medicine, advanced soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic procedures. Team
The veterinary team consists of three DVMs supported by an experienced hospital manager and a full complement of skilled technicians, including registered veterinary technicians. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with strong teamwork across all roles.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
