Summary The Director of Engineering must manage their team in all aspects of projects, including safety, quality, organization, planning, scheduling, subcontractor scheduling, and day-to-day issues. In addition, the individual must ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and in a quality manner. The role you will play:

• Lead Program Engineering teams or departments including planning, research & development, and execution of all tasking on projects
• Manage the design and execution (i.e. scope, schedule, budget, and staffing) of projects as well as the development, implementation, and improvement of engineering processes
• Manage external environmental and engineering firms as needed
• Drive continuous improvement & quality accountability through productivity and quality measures, process training, and process rigor
• Manage project cost/budgets; regularly reviews and updates project and labor costs, processes change orders in a timely fashion, makes suggestions on improving overall productivity and cost savings
• Provide technical and engineering services, and assist in resolving design issues
• Verify accuracy and completeness of submitted documents against contract drawings and specifications
• Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with other company personnel and the customer as required
• Organize staff and assign work for both personnel development and product development
• Lead organizational growth by building strong relationships across business and functional boundaries
• Communicate with construction foremen, engineers, inspectors, estimators, and other company personnel
