COQODAQ, a new fried chicken concept from Michelin-starred COTE Korean Steakhouse, is seeking a dynamic hospitality professional for the role of Restaurant Manager. Located two blocks from our COTE NYC location, COQODAQ is part of Gracious Hospitality Management, a company known for its Michelin-starred and James Beard Award-nominated restaurants.

COQODAQ is committed to delivering better fried chicken with high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients, blending Korean and American influences. We offer a unique dining experience with a large Champagne list, wine, beer, and cocktails.

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for daily restaurant administration, maintaining facilities and compliance, building team morale, customer relations, and supporting the General Manager in all facets of the restaurant's operations and financial goals. They collaborate with culinary and front of house departments to run the restaurant harmoniously and efficiently.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Promotes the core values and culture of COQODAQ.
• Liaises between the front of house and culinary team.
• Provides and oversees service for VIP customers.
• Develops positive customer relationships and addresses service needs.
• Oversees daily restaurant administration including payroll, opening/closing duties, etc.
• Manages hourly employees, providing clear direction.
• Creates systems of accountability and provides feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed.
• Performs back office POS functions.
• Plans, executes, and communicates promotions and company information.
• Conducts Department of Health walk-throughs to ensure compliance.
• Promotes and practices safe work habits.
• Ensures team members are educated on products and services.
• Maintains high quality and consistent product standards.
• Participates in community events and corporate social responsibility goals.
• Hires, trains, supervises, manages, coaches, and evaluates front of house employees.
• Acts as a role model for outstanding service.
• Monitors, coaches, and encourages management team and hourly service employees.
• Resolves team member or customer conflicts.
• Builds morale and team spirit.
• Responsible for training new employees.
• Displays knowledge of COQODAQ brand, culture, and product.
• Demonstrates the Company's core values.
• Maintains professional behavior.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Takes care of all company property.
• Maintains safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
• Complies with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, speak, understand, follow written directions, and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be reachable by email and able to communicate via phone.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Possesses a positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality.
• Ability to perform job duties well and maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and local Department of Health standards.
• Food Handler's Certification or the ability to obtain in accordance with federal, state, or local regulations and/or Company policy.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software.
• Working understanding of human resource principles.
• Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics and supervisory skills.
• Ability to effectively train others.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics.
• Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Management, or similar subject preferred.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Certification for responsible alcohol service or ability to obtain within 6 months.

New York State's Pay Transparency Law requires employers to include a range of pay for all advertised job, promotion, or transfer opportunities.

New York Pay Range $80,000 — $90,000 USD
